I was born and raised on a 1 million bird poultry farm comprising of cages, free-range and aviary systems. Throughout my years post-graduation I have worked as a consultant and a company veterinarian and have experience in all things poultry. My passions lie with operations and proactive management systems. I strongly believe management is at the root of most issues faced in the industry, and by addressing these issues proactively, you can increase your productivity and profitability.

Having owned a free-range farm housing over 24,000 birds, I’ve gained valuable insights into both domestic and international markets. My commitment extends beyond farming; I’ve actively represented the interests of farmers at industry governance levels. My interests in operational and efficiency management ensure farms operate smoothly and sustainably. Above all, my passion lies in empowering fellow farmers to achieve their best, focusing on teaching effective farming techniques and navigating the ever growing complexity of farm compliance.

I’m a veterinarian with 19 years’ experience across biosecurity, animal welfare, and equine medicine. Since 2012, I’ve worked with MPI as an Initial Investigating Veterinarian leading responses to suspected exotic disease incursions. I played key roles in the Mycoplasma bovis eradication, the Salmonella Enteritidis response in poultry, and the 2024 HPAI outbreak. Alongside my work in biosecurity and response I’ve also worked in welfare compliance for equine and greyhound racing.
